Loads of Newcastle United fans have been flocking to a tweet from the Tyneside club’s official Twitter page about Florian Lejeune as they wished him a happy birthday.
Indeed, the 29-year old has enjoyed some fine performances in the Premier League so far in the North East, despite not being a regular in the starting eleven. In just six appearances, Lejeune has scored a handy two goals, and wins four duels per game, according to Sofascore. The central defender also averages 2.2 clearances, 1.7 interceptions and 1.3 tackles every match, as per the website.

However, despite his heroics at times, it seems as if several members of the Toon faithful had other things on their mind upon flocking to the post. With the prospective takeover at St. James’ Park all still very much up in the air, some Magpies could not help themselves but ask about if and when the proposed deal will be approved.
