Loads of Newcastle United fans are fuming after a report on the prospective takeover in the North East from ChronicleLive emerged on Twitter.
The article focuses on why several members of the Toon faithful have been made to wait by the Premier League as to whether the top flight will eventually approve of the proposed deal between Mike Ashley and the Saudi-led consortium, and suggests that they deserve some answers.

In the piece, the journalist questions just how long does it take to consider if the would-be buyers are ‘fit and proper persons’, indeed referring to the owner’s and director’s tests set out by England’s highest division that the new owners must pass in order to fully take over at St. James’ Park.
The writer also claimed that the two main objections to the bid, human rights and television piracy, were well known to the league and the NUFC supporters all from the very first day Amanda Staveley’s consortium lodged their bid for approval, and added that the delay ‘is beyond the pale’.
