Lee Ryder has dropped a transfer claim on Elliot Anderson as he has tweeted that Newcastle United have ‘resisted approaches‘ to sign him on Deadline Day.
As per the tweet from The Chronicle journalist, those approaches have come from clubs in the EFL Championship, with the player told that he will get more chances to play in the first team under Steve Bruce.

Newcastle should keep hold of Anderson
The St. James’ Park faithful should look to keep hold of Anderson if they can before the deadline hits.
The 18-year-old has already broken into the first-team squad for the Tyneside club, with both of his appearances coming against Arsenal in the Premier League and the FA Cup (Transfermarkt).
Bruce was full of praise for the young prospect after his display in the latter competition just last month, even going as far as to claim that ‘everything is effortless’ to him.

Anderson seemingly has a bright future with the Magpies, and perhaps the central midfield player would benefit more from playing in more games for the Toon in the first team then going down a level to the Championship.
With the deadline drawing ever closer, it looks more and more likely that he will end up staying in the North East until at least the end of the 2020/21 term.
