A legal expert has given quite a promising view on the pending legal battle between Newcastle United and the Premier League over the failed takeover at St. James’ Park.
Speaking to The Chronicle, Football Law expert Thomas Horton said that ‘it’s exciting for Newcastle fans’ when asked about the next steps in the ongoing dispute between the Tyneside club and the English top flight.

He also went on to reveal that arbitration is a confidential process and so it will not take place in a court case and instead would take place at arbitration institutions.
Horton also could not put a time stamp on just how long it would take before a final ruling is made, but at least gave members of the Toon Army some form of hope that the Magpies could end up on the right side of it.
Newcastle takeover hopes still alive
Indeed, the hopes of the £300m takeover in the North East by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) consortium are not dead in the water just yet.

The KSA’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) also reportedly continue to monitor developments in the takeover saga and remain in contact with the consortium, and so it seems as if a successful arbitration case could put the prospective NUFC takeover on the right path.
