The Newcastle Consortium Supporters Ltd (NCSL) have been left fuming after the latest reveal to do with the proposed £300m takeover of Newcastle United by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) consortium.
As per The Shields Gazette, the St. James’ Park faithful believe that they have handed over legal proof that the KSA’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) and the Saudi state are of separate entities and have thus fulfilled the requirements of the Owners’ and Directors’ Test (ODT) set out by the Premier League.

The news outlet also revealed that PIF briefs had also told the English top flight they could prove the separation in the summer by sending documentary evidence that was written in Saudi law, however, those requests are understood to have not been followed up.
This reveal led the NCSL to voice their fume on their Twitter page, by tweeting that ‘enough is enough’ followed by a plea to the British government to being the ODT into the public domain and therefore decide on what to do on the prospective deal between Mike Ashley and the KSA group.

What is the next step in the Newcastle takeover saga?
If both the Tyneside club and PIF can prove that the latter and the Saudi state are of separate entities, which is a key part of the ODT, then perhaps the respective bid can be pushed further.

Nonetheless, it may take an arbitration hearing to settle the ongoing legal dispute between the Magpies and England’s highest division once and for all.
