The Newcastle Consortium Supporters Ltd (NCSL) are seemingly confident that they can deliver the proposed takeover of Newcastle United by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) consortium.
They tweeted ‘we look forward to making this happen’ after the latest step – this template for fans to pressure MPs with – as now tens of thousands of supporters of the St. James’ Park faithful are all pulling together in one direction to get the prospective £300m deal between Mike Ashley and the KSA group over the line.
Are the Premier League to blame for the Newcastle takeover collapse?
The husband of Amanda Staveley, Mehrdad Ghodoussi, has also started following the Twitter page, showing his own support and backing for them to try and reverse the original decision by the Premier League to fail the takeover.
Pressure on Premier League to reverse takeover decision
The top flight are now being put under more pressure to reverse the takeover decision, as the NCSL have made a template of a letter for fans to write to their local MP’s with the aim of getting the bid back on track.
Nonetheless, the legal dispute between the Tyneside club and England’s highest division may have to be settled in a court case in which a judge will have to rule as to where the takeover goes from here.
What is not in doubt is that the EPL are now under pressure, and that the NCSL are determined to reach their goal.
