Richard Keys has claimed in a post on his blog that he has been told that the proposed takeover of Newcastle United will happen on Friday.
As per the former Sky Sports now beIN presenter, he claims that the Premier League will approve of the bid any day now and added that he had been told that it will happen on Friday.

Keys also touches on a few other subjects, including as to whether the would-be owners of the Tyneside club would be or even should be deemed as both ‘fit and proper’.
He is of course referring to the Owners’ and Directors’ Test (ODT) set out by the top flight, which checks to see whether the buying side are both fit and proper people before they are allowed to take over a football club.

In this case, the group looking to buy the Magpies away from Mike Ashley are still yet to hear the results of the test, which if they pass would surely push them one step close to their goal.
The consortium consists of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabian (KSA) crown prince Mohammed bin Salman (MbS) and his country’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), the businesswoman and head of PCP Capital Partners Amanda Staveley and the billionaire Reuben brothers, who are both originally from India but are now based in London.
Nevertheless, it is a rather big claim that Keys has made, but only time will tell as to whether he is proven right, as there is arguably still a lot of clarity that needs to be sorted out before an official announcement on the final decision is made.
