Miguel Almiron is reportedly ‘certain’ to leave Newcastle United with it being ‘impossible’ for the Paraguay international to return to form at St. James’ Park, according to Grada3 (via Sport Witness).
As per the Spanish news outlet, his situation in the North East is becoming increasingly difficult, and that is largely down to his agent.
Should Almiron be starting for Newcastle?
Daniel Campos has talked up a possible exit from the Tyneside club for his client, giving two separate interviews recently in a clear attempt to hype the situation.
Where could Almiron go?
The two teams that have been pushed forward as potential destinations for Almiron have been Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan, although apparently it is likely that interest from both clubs has been exaggerated.
The publication claims that it is unlikely that Diego Simeone’s team would be willing to pay what the Magpies would ask.
Andrea Berta, the sporting director of the Spanish giants, has apparently had an interest in Almiron, however, with it expected that the Toon would want around £20m for his services, they do not see that as a reasonable price for him.
There has not been any serious indication of Inter making a move for the 26 year-old either, and so perhaps some more clubs will have to show a serious interest if he is to force a move away from NUFC.
