Not long to go: 2 key transfers Sunderland must seal before the window closes

The Sunderland fans here in the Transfer Tavern are pulling their hair out at the minute, with their side sitting bottom of the league and struggling for any sort of form.

Under David Moyes, they sit bottom of the league and once again got soundly beaten yesterday afternoon.

Over at the pool table, a lot of Mackems are talking about whether Moyes is the right man, and if he is, who is he going to try and bring in to turn round this slump for the North East club.

January is approaching its end, and there is little time for the former Everton and Man United manager to get things done if he wants to add to his squad. However, he might just fancy a few late deals, and our landlord thinks Moyes should look to seal some transfers too.

With that being said, here are TWO transfers Sunderland should look to seal before the window closes…

Jordan Ayew

Aston Villa man Ayew proved last year he could deliver in the Premier League, being one of the standout players in a poor Villa team.

He might well be open to a move away from Villa as well, with Steve Bruce still looking to move people on and bring people in during the window.

Ayew is a capable performer though, and would definitely be an asset to the Black Cats if they could seal a deal.

Thomas Ince

Derby man Ince has been in scintillating form since Steve McClaren came back to the Rams, and although he would take a hefty fee, the chance at getting back in the Premier League might appeal to him.

Ince is a quality operator, and would provide Jermaine Defoe with ample chances to increase his own goal tally.

Ince would be a wise signing if Moyes was to consider making a move for the former Hull City man.
