Nottingham Forest have enjoyed another aggressive summer in the transfer market, with Oliver Glasner continuing to reshape his squad ahead of another demanding Premier League campaign.
The Reds have spent heavily on their new arrivals, bringing in Liam Delap from Chelsea for £45m while also adding Ousmane Diomande from Sporting Lisbon, Xaver Schlager and Gustavo Sá among others.
Glasner is now looking towards a familiar face to strengthen his side further.
Forest Submit Munoz Bid
Nottingham Forest have submitted a bid worth up to £22million for Crystal Palace wing-back Daniel Munoz, according to The Athletic, as Glasner looks to reunite with one of his former players.
Forest’s proposal is understood to consist of £20m up front plus another £2m in potential add-ons, with Palace now considering whether to accept the offer.
Munoz enjoyed an excellent spell under Glasner at Selhurst Park before the Austrian departed, and the Forest boss is keen on bringing the Colombia international to the City Ground.
Glasner previously described the 30-year-old as “very dangerous”, with his attacking threat from the right making him an attractive option for Forest.
Munoz joined Palace from Genk in January 2024 for around £6.9m and has since made 109 appearances, playing an important role in their FA Cup and Conference League triumphs.
He has also earned 51 Colombia caps and featured five times at this summer’s World Cup.
Palace have added competition at wing-back with Anan Khalaili arriving for £21m, while Munoz still has two years remaining on his contract.
Forest’s approach could therefore give Palace a decision to make, with Glasner now attempting to bring his former star back under his management.
