Our Aston Villa fans here in the Transfer Tavern certainly have had a tough few seasons to endure but they’re hoping for a brighter future.
Indeed, the club has been through a fair old struggle in recent years but there does seem to be some stability at the club now and Steve Bruce will be eager to guide his side back into the Premier League at the end of 2017/18.
The hard work for that, then, begins now but whilst we wait to see who he signs in the transfer window, CEO Keith Wyness has got himself into a bit of trouble.
Indeed, he retweeted a tweet that the FA deemed inappropriate and he has therefore been handed a three week suspension from football.
Villa fans, then, have reacted to this and so here is the best of what was said:

@FA: “Keith Wyness has been suspended for all football related activity for three weeks for misconduct via social media.” #avfc

The FA proves to us daily that it’s one giant clown show.

He wouldn’t even had his hands slapped if he’d been on the board of a London club.

More of the usual nonsense from the #fa #morons #getaproperjob #avfc

Good to see the @FA tackling the big issues. Bunch of jokers. https://t.co/ZklBUlakHC #avfc

So basically our @retsub12 gets punished for retweeted exactly what we were thinking at that time? Unbelievable. Behind Keith 100%

My thoughts on Keith Wyness’ suspension. Seems very harsh for a genuine mistake. #avfc https://t.co/GaelU6P0CJ
