West Ham have had a very odd season indeed, and their fans who come into the Transfer Tavern for their weekly beer are often caught looking confused.

The Hammers have at times looked excellent, whereas at other times their form has been patchy to say the least in the Premier League.

Manager Slaven Bilic will be keen to get to the summer and take a step back, before reassessing his squad and getting ready for next season.

Our landlord has been chatting to some Hammers fans this week here in the Tavern, and they think that Bilic could well make moves in the transfer window in the summer, with both players moving out and into the club.

With this in mind, we have taken a look at ONE in and ONE out at West Ham this summer…

Out – Diafra Sakho

The striker is well out of favour these days for the Hammers, and a summer move looks likely for Sakho.

It is not that he is short on ability, but he has just drifted out of form and subsequently, out of favour for West Ham. Slaven Bilic will be looking to add more firepower up top, and Sakho could be the player to make way.

In – Jermain Defoe

With Sunderland looking likely to be relegated, there will be a whole host of clubs looking to seal a move for the England man.

Defoe guarantees goals, and West Ham must be confident of luring him back to the one of his former clubs. The thought of Andy Carroll and Defoe up top is a good one for Hammers fans, and he would certainly be an excellent signing.
