Optimism high as club aim to secure Man Utd transfer

The Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern are delighted with the fine start to life in Manchester that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has made…

He had scored an impressive 15 league goals so far this season, with his fine finishes the only thing really keeping Man Utd in the fight at the top of the table.

Granted, he is closer to the end of his tenure than the start of it, but for many in the Transfer Tavern – a new deal for the Swede was already a foregone conclusion.

However, according to the BBC, if LA Galaxy have anything to say about it – the forward will be turning out in the MLS next season.

The publication are reporting that LA Galaxy are ready to make Ibrahimovic the highest paid player in MLS history – with the club optimistic that an agreement could be found.

It would certainly come as a huge blow for Man Utd should he leave, but the prospect of a big-money move – alongside the MLS lifestyle – could be too much to turn down for Zlatan.

Certainly, Man Utd have the grounds to replace the veteran forward – with Marcus Rashford more than ready to step into his lethal shoes.  The Reds have also been linked with a move for lethal Serie A forward Andrea Belotti – who would certainly be a good replacement.
