An interesting weekend looms.
Looking at the table it is still very evenly spread out and three points or the failure to attain them will have significant effect. Many teams have suffered from hiccups of late and a fair amount of restoring the so called natural order can be expected.
Arsenal v Fulham
Arsenal needed that win against Villa and it would only add to repairing their dented self belief if they saw off Fulham. Mark Hughes has found himself wanting and drifting at Fulham and I find it difficult to believe that his fortunes will turn around here. Prediction 4-0 Paddy’s Price 12/1 HERE
Birmingham v Tottenham
Birmingham are hard work and I’m not just talking about stewarding their fans. Spurs would in seasons past have gone to St Andrews and had an unexceptional afternoon there. This season they may well just smash them. Prediction 3-0 Paddy’s Price on Spurs to win both halves 11/2 HERE
Blackburn v Wolves
Blackburn thought they were on fire beating Villa 2 weeks ago. After being thumped 7-1 by Man Utd they found themselves watching firemen cut them out of the wreckage. Wolves will be in fighting form. It won’t be pretty. Prediction 1-2 Paddy’s Price on Wolves to win both halves 20/1 HERE
Chelsea v Everton
Can Chelsea stage a credible comeback anytime soon? Having Everton travel to them in dire form may just be the opportunity they were waiting for. David Moyes’ stock graph must resemble a ski slope. No wonder he was talking about being fired the other week. Prediction 2-0 Paddy’s Price 11/2 HERE
Man City v Bolton
Bolton are having a good old fashioned go at this season and Owen Coyle has gone from a Burnley hate figure to Arsene Wenger 2.0. Yeah right. Mancini has a glittering array of super stars to combat this and I would be amazed if Bolton don’t win this. Prediction 4-1 Paddy’s Price on Davies Anytime Scorer 10/3 HERE
Wigan v Stoke City
Having lost to West Ham last week Steve Bruce must have wondered what he was doing. After seeing West Ham wallop Manchester United he’s probably trying to tell himself they were hit by a team on the up. If they get beat by Stoke, it’ll be back to the wondering sketch again. Prediction 1-2 Paddy’s Price 9/1 HERE
Blackpool v Man Utd
That bloke Holloway seems to talk more than Sepp Blatter. At least you know where you are with Holloway if he thinks you suck, he will tell you. This one on paper is a suicide mission, but Blackpool have brought more to the League than a motormouth. Prediction 3-2 Paddy’s Price 17/1 HERE
West Brom v Newcastle
The Baggies are having a strange season. They bumble along looking a bit rubbish, then pull off great wins. There victory at Everton being a point in case. Newcastle are on course for a fine season and beating West Brom would underline that. Prediction 1-3 Paddy’s Price 22/1 HERE
Sunderland v West Ham
The real question is can the West Ham recovery continue? Sunderland away should be too much for them. But form is everything and the Black Cats come to this after being beaten by Wolves, the Hammers still beaming after whipping Manchester United 4-0. Prediction 2-2 Paddy’s Price HERE
Liverpool v Aston Villa
Roy Rumours abound. Is this the first of the 3 games he has to save his skin? Things were looking better until he took them to White Hart Lane. Aston Villa are having a nothingy season, last week they lost again, this time to Arsenal. Houllier won’t enjoy this. Prediction 3-1 Paddy’s Price 12/1 HERE
