Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are letting their concerns be known after a European giant was linked to their most crucial asset.
EuroSport claim French giants Paris Saint-Germain will make a move for Arsene Wenger, with speculation concerning Laurent Blanc’s long-term future with the Ligue 1 side continuing to mount.
L’Equipe suggest an approach will be made if PSG fail to overcome Real Madrid in this week’s crucial Champions League tie, as the club’s hierarchy are concerned at the lack of progress the club have made in European competition.
PSG’s ambition is to continue dominating French football, which Blanc’s side have been doing, but they also want to become one of the finest European outfits- challenging the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich for continental glory.
Currently, the Ligue 1 leaders have failed to do that and have exited the competition before the semi-finals in the past few seasons; which is deemed to not be good enough.
Arsenal fans are desperate to keep Wenger and have also stated they’re unsure as to whether the Frenchman would be the best fit for PSG, having made just one Champions League final appearance and last reaching the competition’s final four in 2010.
