‘Pay now’, ‘Bargain’ - Tottenham Hotspur fans react on Twitter to exciting transfer rumour

The Spurs fans in the Transfer Tavern are pinching themselves after hearing the news that Ryan Sessegnon has been valued at £25 million by Fulham. Spurs have been monitoring the 17-year-old’s progress at Craven Cottage and after reading a story in The Sun, they’ll be confident of getting him on the cheap in the summer.

The Tottenham fans propping our bar up have been impressed with the form of Ben Davies this season as Danny Rose has lost his place as the club’s first choice left-back in the first team. Rose has suffered from a knee injury and been involved in an off the field controversy as he questioned the Spurs policy in the transfer market and claimed he wasn’t paid enough for what he gave the club on the pitch.

Whilst Ben Davies has more than stepped up during Rose’s decline, the club needs to invest in a left-back as they look set to playing in four competition’s next season. This is where Fulham ace, Ryan Sessegnon comes in, at the age of just 17, Sessegnon has already become one of the most coveted players in England’s second tier and could be in line for a shock call-up to Gareth Southgate’s World Cup squad for Russia. The 17-year-old has scored 14 goals in 40 Championship appearances from left-back and left-wing and the Spurs fans will be hoping he can continue that form in a Spurs shirt if they’re able to recruit him in summer.
