‘Petrified of success’ - Arsenal fans split over latest Wenger comments

Debate continues to rage over amongst the Arsenal fans propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern in regards to Arsene Wenger’s position at the club, with Le Prof remaining a thoroughly divisive figure at the club.

Out of contract in the summer, the Gunners chief invoked the ire of our north London locals after yet another Champions League smashing at the hands of Bayern Munich and has been linked with a departure from the club he first joined over two decades ago.

In fact, he’s even been touted as a potential replacement for outgoing Barcelona chief Luis Enrique at the end of this campaign, though appeared to distance himself from a move to the Camp Nou in his latest press conference.

“No, my preference has always been the same and will remain the same”, he said (quotes sourced by Sky Sports.)

“I am not looking for jobs in other clubs or jobs for other people. I am just focused on me getting to the next level and trying to improve.”
