The Tottenham Hotspur supporters here in the Transfer Tavern were bitterly disappointed last weekend, as they watched their side slip to a 2-0 reverse at the hands of Liverpool.

Spurs were undone by two goals in two first-half minutes and it leaves them with a mountain to climb if they are to catch Chelsea at the summit of the division.

It didn’t stop the Spurs fans enjoying their Saturday night however and they were partying here in the bar until the very small hours of Sunday morning.

Attentions turn to the FA Cup this afternoon and a London-derby with Fulham is on the agenda for Spurs, who will be hoping to edge past the Championship outfit and reach the quarter-final.

Ahead of the contest Lee Clarke looks at two players who should be dropped for the game.

Harry Kane

The England striker looked out of sorts in the game against Liverpool and he could possibly do with a rest.

It probably wouldn’t go down too well if the striker was denied the chance to line-up against a Championship outfit, although a break from playing regular football could be ideal.

One Spurs fan is sat reading the newspaper in the Tavern and he thinks Kane should be dropped as the club prepares to accept bigger challenges in the near future.

Ben Davies

The Spurs left-back was given the run around by Liverpool’s front three last weekend and he could be taken out of the firing line for the trip to Craven Cottage.

Davies doesn’t feature too regularly when Danny Rose is fit but his recent injury has seen the ex-Swansea man called upon.

One Spurs fan is chatting to the landlord and he agrees that Davies is not of the required quality to oust Rose from the team permanently.
