There’s very little the Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern can complain about transfer wise of late. 

An unbeaten start to the campaign has had them dancing on the pool tables as they do their best to forget the end of season collapse that ruined last term.

It seems so very long ago when the monumental fee received for Gareth Bale three years ago was largely squandered while the club were under the stewardship of the dour AVB.

At long last, the north London locals seem to have a manager they can completely trust in terms of transfer goings on.

Still, it’s not stopped the fans propping up the bar begging Mauricio Pochettino to keep their favoured personnel on Hotspur Way.

Though the Argentine coach barely boasts the biggest squad in town, the fast approaching January transfer window has everybody nervous.

So, with that in mind, here are TWO Spurs players Pochettino simply can’t axe this summer.

Kevin Wimmer

Though Pochettino has a wealth of options from which to choose in central defensive berths right now, Kevin Wimmer is simply too good to be sold.

The Austrian recently revealed he was ‘down on expectations’ after struggling for game time of late, though is undoubtedly a top quality defender.

With Spurs now genuine Top 4 contenders at the very least, they need all the quality they can get.

Ben Davies

Danny Rose is clearly the first-choice in the left-back role, though the current climate of the transfer market means there are very few options as a back-up in that berth.

So, Spurs are in a rather odd position considering the fact they have two solid options in the role.

Linked with a move Chelsea recently, Welsh international Ben Davies simply shouldn’t be sold.
