The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern are feeling pretty optimistic at the moment…
It’s been a solid, if unspectacular, start to the Premier League season, with defeat to Chelsea being a particular lowlight.
Indeed, they’ve been some way off their fine form from towards the end of last season, but that hasn’t taken away the optimism at temporary home Wembley.
Tottenham’s main group is still together, and unlike most of the Premier League rivals, the whole squad – bar a couple of new additions – know exactly how each other play.
That’ll be key when Tottenham take on Everton this weekend, with the Toffees posing a big challenge to Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
The Argentine must pick the best possible squad to take on Ronald Koeman’s side, and as a result, he simply must start these 2 Tottenham players against Everton – agreed?
Eric Dier

Buoyed by a goal for his country, Eric Dier is definitely getting back to his best.
He offers a dose of athleticism and bite in the midfield, whilst his versatility could prove useful in defence too.
Mauricio Pochettino is lucky in that he can play a number of formations, but whichever he goes for, Dier fits in perfectly and must play.
Serge Aurier

Kieran Trippier has been out of action for the last few weeks, and even if he is fit, he isn’t likely to be at 100%.
Aurier, meanwhile, is available and ready to go.
It wouldn’t be ideal, given his lack of training with the first team, but Tottenham know how good he is – and it doesn’t make sense to hold him back.
Give him a chance.
