Pochettino should drop these 2 Tottenham players against Bournemouth today – agreed?

It has been a strong start to the season for the Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern…

They have enjoyed watching their side impress in the Premier League, with a flurry of good performances so far this term placing them in contention at the top of the Premier League table.

The English top flight, though, is a difficult beast to predict, and so the fans in the pub are taking nothing for granted. Against Bournemouth this weekend, they’re expecting nothing but a good performance and a win.

Bournemouth, conversely, have found life tough this season, and so for Mauricio Pochettino – they could be ripe for the taking.

That said, he can’t take anything for granted, and so his team selection is absolutely vital. Perhaps a few changes could be necessary.

With that said, Pochettino should drop these 2 Tottenham players against Bournemouth today – agreed?

 Kieran Trippier

Kieran Trippier hasn’t really done much wrong, but Serge Aurier is clearly going to be Mauricio Pochettino’s first choice long-term.

Trippier’s a solid option, but realistically he is a fairly unspectacular player, and the flair of Aurier is always going to be more useful.

It’s a shame, as he’s a very useful player, but that’s likely to be the unfortunate reality. Poch should make the decision to drop him now.

 Dele Alli

This would be a very bold choice from Pochettino, but it’s almost certainly a worthy one.

Dele Alli has struggled over the last few weeks, and he doesn’t deserve to keep starting if he isn’t performing.

He had a pretty underwhelming international break, and with so much attacking talent available, perhaps it’s time for Mauricio Pochettino to make a big call.

His form will return, but it’s just a case of managing him until it does.
