The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern were disappointed with their side’s performance on Saturday. After an impressive few weeks, the Lilywhites unfortunately fell to a 1-0 defeat against their Premier League rivals Man Utd thanks to a late goal from Anthony Martial.
It wasn’t a particularly poor performance from Tottenham, but it was clear that they were lacking inspiration – and that inspiration is typically provided by Harry Kane, who was, of course, missing.
Unfortunately for Mauricio Pochettino, though, he doesn’t have much time to properly assess the situation, with his next big game coming up on Wednesday. Real Madrid come to town this week, and given how many quality players that they have, it will be no easy feat for Tottenham to get past them.
Mauricio Pochettino, then, needs to pick a strong side, and he should learn a few lessons from the weekend and change things up a touch.
With that said, Pochettino simply must drop these 2 Tottenham players against Real Madrid – agreed?
Moussa Sissoko

Moussa Sissoko has had a stellar start to the season, but based on his performance at the weekend, he shouldn’t be starting this week.
He struggled to control the game against Man Utd, and that task is only going to get more difficult against Real Madrid.
Tottenham have a decent amount of midfield depth available now, particularly with Mousa Dembele back in the fold, and so the Frenchman may have to settle for a late introduction.
Son Heung-min

With Harry Kane reportedly training ahead of the game, Son Heung-min could be forced to make way.
Tasked with replacing the Englishman against Man Utd, the attacker wasn’t able to produce a performance of note, instead allowing the game to pass him by.
He lacks the raw quality and goalscoring ability of Kane, and so if the Englishman is available, it would be a natural move to drop Son.
Like Sissoko, he could have a role from the bench late on in the game.
