Arsenal continued to defy the odds this season, after continuing a 16-game unbeaten run.
Unai Emery and the fans were preparing for a season of transition but ever since the former PSG manager has been in the hot-seat at the Emirates, it’s been good result after good result.
Whilst currently on the outskirts of the top four in the Premier League and unbeaten in the EFL Cup and Europa League, many would think there isn’t anything more Arsenal can do to improve – but there is.
The Sun are reporting that the Gunners are plotting a January bid for Villarreal and Spain midfielder Pablo Fornals.
Fornals has three goals to his name this season, which includes a 40-yard volley, and two assists. This has led to an international call-up and interest from around Europe, with Arsenal being the most recent admirers.
So what could this move mean for Arsenal and their current players…
Aaron Ramsey leaves

In a situation that is extremely likely already, Aaron Ramsey will definitely leave the club if Arsenal recruit Pablo Fornals.
The Welshman’s contract situation has been public knowledge for a number of weeks now but Arsenal fans are inclined to think that if Fornals can continue his excellent start to the season, they won’t miss Ramsey for long.
Mesut Ozil must stay consistent to remain in the starting line-up

The Germany international is undoubtedly quality on his day but too often Arsenal fans find themselves that he isn’t consistent enough.
Should Pablo Fornals be the next new face at the Emirates, Ozil will quickly need to find a run of form to ensure he keeps his place in the starting line-up.
