Arsenal are in a right mess at the moment. The Gunners are quickly losing ground on Manchester United and will need to bring in some defensive reinforcements in January if they’re to achieve anything. A lot of fans have been having their say on who they want to sign to bolster their backline, and Kieran Tierney is one who keeps popping up.
Which natural, agile left back could we realistically sign, for less than £30m that could prove to be a top signing?

The young Scottish left-back is a sublime player. The Celtic man has been given the captain’s armband by Brendan Rodgers in the absence of both Scott Brown and Mikael Lustig at Parkhead, and aside from being a pacey defender who adds value at both ends of the pitch, the 21-year-old is a fearless leader both on and off the pitch.
The only issue would be the price of the Scottish youngster. The chances are Celtic would want a fair penny for the fan favourite, and whilst Arsenal fans are desperate to sign someone like the Scot, money is a real issue at the club as they continue to struggle under the ownership of Stan Korenke. Over the summer Unai Emery was given a tiny transfer budget compared to the clubs around him, so spending a fair chunk of whatever he gets on a left-back wouldn’t be the best move.

The Gunners would love a passionate young defender like Tierney, and if they signed the 21-year-old he could well be their long-term left-back for the next ten years.
