Who could have predicted the season that Arsenal have gone on to have? The Gunners went on a 21 game unbeaten run at the beginning of the season, however, they have had a mixed bag of results and performances at times, despite still competing for a place in the top-four of the Premier League and a place in the Europa League semi-finals.
Aaron Ramsey has been a standout for the club this season, despite the fact that he is set to join Juventus in the summer, however, it appears he may have handed Unai Emery some rather bad news.
What’s the News?
According to a report by The Sun, Ramsey has been forced to withdraw from international duty with Wales due to an injury.
The midfielder had missed the friendly against Trinidad and Tobago with a thigh problem and now it has become a concern for Arsenal as they had hoped he would be ready for Wales’ game against Slovakia.
Ramsey’s injury setback could come as a real blow for Arsenal and there will be concerns about how long he could potentially remain on the sidelines for.
The 28-year-old has been hugely influential for the Gunners this season and his contributions to the team have been second-to-none despite the fact that he is not staying at the club beyond the season.
His leadership has been crucial in the midfield, as has the fact that he has been able to score a number of important goals for the club this season which has helped Arsenal be in the position that they currently find themselves in.
With the Newcastle United match on Monday, there may be a chance that he could be available for the Premier League clash, which will be a boost to Emery if he can be selected.
