Celtic fans will be dreaming of a third successive treble at Parkhead in the current campaign, with Neil Lennon now the man tasked with getting the job done. It’s safe to say that he’s done a solid job up until this point, with his name firmly in the hat for the permanent job at the end of the season.
It’s still hard to believe that Brendan Rodgers isn’t in charge at Parkhead but life goes on and so does Celtic’s season, with the summer transfer window already being eyed up by Lennon.
What’s the news?
Celtic are interested in a move for English Premier League side Chelsea’s Tomas Kalas, according to the Scottish Sun.
Although, the Hoops could face competition from Old Firm rivals Rangers.
Interestingly, it’s understood he is high on the list of close-season targets drawn up by Hoops boss Neil Lennon, and the Hoops could be keen to push for a permanent move in the summer.
Many fans will agree that improvements are needed at the heart of the defence in the summer, with Filip Benkovic set to return to Leicester City and Dedryck Boyata’s contact up.
Tomas Kalas may have been shipped out on loan to a number of clubs in seasons gone by, but it’s safe to say that he’s impressed wherever he’s gone, which makes it a big surprise that no one has signed him permanently.
The Czech Republic star would be a great addition for Celtic as his pace makes him almost impossible to get past in the defensive third, he’s good in the air and his tackling ability tops things off.
The Hoops should definitely push for a permanent move as he’s already proven himself in recent years, including at Bristol City in the current campaign.
Celtic fans, do you believe Kalas can replace Boyata? Surely he’s better than what you’ve already got…
