Celtic will be looking to close the gap at the top of the Scottish Premiership table when they return to action against Hibernian at the weekend.
Brendan Rodgers’ side have been off the pace this season and have not been at their best across all competitions so far.
One man that has not yet featured for the Bhoys this year is Daniel Arzani, and it appears if he does not do so soon, he could make a swift return to Manchester City.
The winger, who is on a two-year loan deal, is considered to be one of Australia’s brightest prospects, however, Rodgers has claimed that he is not ready to be a part of his first-team plans just yet.
And, according to a report by The World Game, his future at Celtic Park is running out of time as he has a clause allowing him to return to the Etihad Stadium at the end of November, should he fail to make an appearance for the senior side.
“The clock is ticking on Daniel Arzani’s Celtic future with an agreement in place to send the young Australian gun back to parent club Manchester City should he fail to land a first-team appearance by December,” they state.
Plenty was touted about Arzani when he joined the Scottish Premiership champions, especially after becoming the youngest player at the World Cup.
Manchester City will have been disappointed that the teenager has not been utilised at all for the Bhoys this season, and could put a strain on the good relationship the two sides have when it comes to agreements for players.
The likes of Jason Denayer, John Guidetti and Patrick Roberts have all spent time in Scotland, whilst Olivier Ntcham completed a move from the Etihad Stadium in 2017.
However, with Arzani also failing to complete 90 minutes for the reserve side, it seems unlikely that he will break into Rodgers’ first-team and could be set to head out on loan elsewhere.
