Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho is keen to offer Christian Eriksen plus cash to Real Madrid in a deal which would also see Gareth Bale move in the opposite direction, that is according to Spanish outlet Diario Gol.

Both players currently have question marks over their futures at the respective clubs they are currently at.

Eriksen's contract at Spurs is set to expire at the end of the season and, according to reports, Daniel Levy is keen to offload him in January rather than losing him for nothing in the summer (Evening Standard).

As for Bale, Real Madrid tried to offload him in the summer and he nearly moved to the Chinese Super League, only for the La Liga club to cancel the deal at the last minute (BBC Sport).

With both players seemingly on their way out of the clubs they are at, a deal which sees Eriksen move to Madrid and Bale return to Tottenham could well suit all parties if they can come to an arrangement.

It seems that plenty of Spurs fans would love to see this swap deal happen, with many taking to Twitter to admit that they would be on board with it.
