Spurs fans may be cursing an early decision from Jose Mourinho after his side crashed to their first defeat since he took over at the North London club.

With three wins in as many games going into Mourinho’s return to Old Trafford with Tottenham, some supporters were calling for Tanguy Ndombele to start after finding out that the Frenchman had not been named in the starting XI.
Harry Winks and Moussa Sissoko were named in a defensive-midfield duo – though they could not find the winning combination as they were topped by Manchester United after losing 2-1.
Ndombele was eventually brought on with 20 minutes to go but was unable to help overturn Marcus Rashford’s brace which had given the Red Devils a victory that left the visitors in eighth place after Wednesday’s Premier League matches.
However, these fans may have extra reason to be disappointed after thinking Mourinho had made his first mistake before a ball was kicked:

Weird how Tanguy doesn’t start many games. Head and shoulders our best central midfielder. That side #COYS
