Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino has been under pressure recently, following a string of negative results, so much so that his tenure is beginning to be questioned for the first time.
Will Spurs finish in the top four?
This, naturally, has led to some suggestions of people who could go on to replace him and The Daily Mail has reported that Jose Mourinho is monitoring the situation at the club:

However, it has become apparent that many Spurs fans aren’t interested in having the 56-year-old, who has won the Champions League twice, as their manager.
This attitude seems to stem from certain trends throughout his career, such as the fact that he has never remained as manager of a team for more than three years, as per Transfermarkt.
If the response from these fans is anything to go by, if Pochettino does end up departing the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, which is far from a certainty, Mourinho won’t be a popular choice to replace him.
A selection of Twitter reaction to the report, including posts from unimpressed Spurs fans, can be seen below:
It’d be nice to buy Mbappe, Bale & Varane all in one season but get relegated into the Championship tbf

Do not let that bloke anywhere near this club, he will want to spend minimum 300m min, and destroy our youth system here. All for a quick fix and go.

He’s shown at Chelsea and Man U he’s only good for two seasons before he sows discontent and walks away with a wedge. No thanks.

He can monitor all he wants. Not happening
