Tottenham Hotspur: Many fans want Juan Foyth to be played at right-back

Juan Foyth completed the full 90 minutes for Argentina on Wednesday, as they came from 2-0 down to draw against Germany in a friendly.

Were Tottenham too quick to sell Kieran Trippier?

No

This comes despite the 21-year-old not having played a single minute in any competition for Tottenham Hotspur this season, having missed the beginning through an ankle injury, as per Transfermarkt.

While Mauricio Pochettino hasn’t deemed him fit enough to play, Lionel Scaloni certainly did:

The fact that he was able to play the full 90 minutes has led to many Spurs fans demanding he is used as the club’s right-back.

This has been a problem position this season, with Moussa Sissoko being moved to fill it during the 3-0 loss against Brighton & Hove Albion, due to issues with Serge Aurier and Kyle Walker-Peters.

By fielding Foyth at right-back, the hope among many is that Spurs will have a reliable figure to play the role, while Sissoko can go back to playing in midfield.
