West Ham: Fans furious at Arthur Masuaku’s defending against Nicolas Pepe - West Ham

Loads of West Ham fans are slamming the display of Arthur Masuaku against Arsenal, with one even calling him the ‘worst footballer I’ve ever seen’.

The Hammers looked to be heading towards a crucial three points at half-time in Monday night’s clash against the Gunners, but a total collapse in the second half may well have put Manuel Pellegrini on the brink.

That collapse started with the introduction of Masuaku, who was brought on as a substitute when Aaron Cresswell went off injured.

Cresswell had kept Nicolas Pepe completely quiet through the first 45 minutes, but the Ivory Coast international grabbed a goal and assist after the Englishman went off.

The Arsenal winger put the Gunners in front after Gabriel Martinelli had squared things up, cutting inside Masuaku with relative ease and curling a fine effort into the far corner.

The left-back then allowed Pepe to cut inside onto his strong foot once again, and he assisted the final goal from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Per Sofascore, Masuaku won just two duels during his time on the pitch, and fans have crucified his display on Twitter…
