West Ham United: Fans want Rafael Benitez to replace Manuel Pellegrini

West Ham fans want to see former Liverpool and Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez take charge at the London Stadium.

The Spaniard, who only left the Premier League in the summer and joined Chinese Super League outfit Dalian Yifang in July, has already hinted at a return to England in the future.

“In the future I will come back to England,” said the ex-Inter Milan boss (via BBC Sport).

“I am happy here. It is not I want to go back right now, it is I would like to go in the future.”

West Ham fans are reportedly growing tired with current manager Manuel Pellegrini after a lacklustre start to their season, which has seen the east London side win just three of their opening 12 games.

The Hammers currently lie 16th in the Premier League, just five points above the relegation zone despite investing heavily in their squad during the summer.

Now, many supporters of the club want to see Pellegrini replaced in the dugout at the London Stadium, with Benitez seemingly the perfect candidate to step into the South American’s shoes.

Here’s what some West Ham supporters had to say about the matter on Twitter:
