Nathan Holland scored for West Ham United U23s in a friendly against Brentford B and many fans have been enjoying it.
The game ended 2-2, with the 21-year-old’s strike being the standout moment of the game, leading to the club’s official Twitter page posting a video of it:

Holland has only ever made one appearance for the Hammers’ first team, coming on for the final 28 minutes of a 3-0 Carabao Cup win against Bolton Wanderers in 2017, as per Transfermarkt.
Aside from that, his only other matchday involvement with Manuel Pellegrini’s side is taking a place on the bench, which he has done four times, with the most recent of those being at Old Trafford in April 2019.
However, following this goal, there are some who feel he should be given a chance to impress with the seniors, having already scored seven and assisted 11 in 34 appearances for the U23s.
A selection of Twitter reaction to the goal, including posts from impressed West Ham fans, can be seen below:
Why is the kid not getting a look in for the first team?

Just wondering why we haven’t seen him in the first team yet? I know he has had a couple of injuries but he is clearly a talent and isn’t going to improve in the u23s.

Hoping to see Holland in and around the first team at points this season; especially for cup games and off the bench in certain league games. Newport next Tuesday in the League Cup would be perfect opportunity for Holland.
