Fulham planning Koren swoop

Fulham do not hesitate to sign players from West Bromwich Albion as shown with the signings of Zoltan Gera and Jonathan Greening and now the Cottagers are going to raid the Baggies once more for the signing of Slovenian international Robert Koren according to the News of the World.

Birmingham and Celtic are also said to be interested in the 29 year old who is said to be unsettled after losing his place in Roberto Di Matteo’s promotion chasing side’s first team. Di Matteo has admitted that Koren could leave the club, announcing

“We will have to see what is the best solution.”

With Danny Murphy having struggled with injuries which have denied him the chance to reach his performance levels of last season and Fulham’s form erratic at best Roy Hodgson is said to be eager to bring in replacements and Koren fits the bill perfectly as a midfielder who can get forward and score important goals.
