As quoted in The Birmingham Mail, West Brom manager Tony Pulis has revealed the kind of players he is looking for in the transfer market when it opens for business in January with our resident Baggies fans here in the Transfer Tavern hoping for good deals.
The Welshman signed the likes of Nacer Chadli from Spurs in the last window in the summer and the midfielder has impressed so far this season at The Hawthorns leaving Pulis to tell his new owners at the club that that calibre of player is what they want to be aiming for from now on.
“There’s no doubt the commitment and honesty in the group is there. What we need is a little bit more quality, like Chadli”, said the Welshman.
”I’ve spoken to the Chinese owners, and that’s what we’ll try to do. I’ve put something towards them.”
West Brom have been going steadily enough this season in the Premier League and have gone into this international break on the back of an impressive 2-1 win away at current champions Leicester City.
That win moved them to eleventh in the division and they will now be preparing for a home game against Burnley when the action resumes in just over a week’s time.
