Rangers facing wait over Warburton signing

The January transfer market is a hugely exciting time for everyone in the Transfer Tavern, particularly the Rangers fans found propping up the bar.

For the Gers, this month provides a real chance for Mark Warburton to draft in the sort of players who can help further close the gap on bitter rivals Celtic, who sit 19 points clear at the top of the league.

One man strongly linked with a move to Ibrox is Arsenal playmaker Jon Toral, who played under Warburton while the pair were at Brentford.

Still, reports from the Daily Record have caused concern amongst our Glaswegian drinkers.

They claim the Spaniard is making the Scottish side wait to see whether or not he will join as he aims to play Real Madrid with current club Granada.

While the 21-year-old is barely tearing up trees in La Liga, it’s believed he’s yet to make a decision in regards to his immediate future.

“It’s not easy to talk about it because I am still a Granada player and we have a a game to prepare for on Saturday against Real Madrid, so my thoughts are on that”, he said.

”But if it happens, it happens. We’ll see in the next few weeks.”
