The Rangers Review's Joshua Barrie has shared an injury boost for Glasgow Rangers involving Kemar Roofe ahead of Saturday's clash with St. Mirren.

The Lowdown: Forgotten man

Roofe has almost become somewhat of a forgotten man at Ibrox, having not featured at all so far this season.

He has still been carrying an injury over from last term, but Giovanni van Bronckhorst has given an update on his fitness ahead of their next set of fixtures.

The Latest: In full training

Taking to Twitter, Barrie has shared an update from Van Bronckhorst on Roofe ahead of their game at home to St. Mirren in the Scottish Premiership:

"Giovanni van Bronckhorst confirms that Kemar Roofe is back in full training."

The Verdict: Big boost

After not playing for the Gers since May, having Roofe return to full training is certainly a big boost for Van Bronckhorst and his squad.

The striker was actually their third top scorer in all competitions last term behind James Tavernier and Alfredo Morelos with 16 goals in total, and would offer Van Bronckhorst another handy option up top alongside the latter and new signing Antonio Colak.

The Light Blues have scored seven fewer goals than bitter rivals Celtic in the league, leaving them two points behind in the table and 11 back on goal difference, and with Roofe's goal record, he could certainly help reduce that once Van Bronckhorst deems him fit enough to return to the squad.
