Rangers have no chance of signing Dominic Solanke

Rangers have been completely redefined under Steven Gerrard in the current campaign, with the Scottish Premiership title and qualification for the knockout stages of the Europa League well within their sights at this moment in time.

The Bluenoses can’t afford to slip-up if they are to secure the Scottish Premiership title this season, as Celtic have been nothing short of dominant in recent times.

Worryingly, it appears as if Steven Gerrard has suffered a huge setback on the transfer front, as according to Sky Sports broadcaster Jim White’s personal Twitter account, a Liverpool source has stated there is no chance of Dominic Solanke joining Rangers.

Dominic Solanke has been in red-hot form in recent times as he managed to score four while on international duty with the England Under-21s.

However, the attacker has struggled to work his way into Jurgen Klopp’s plans in the current campaign, with a January loan move in the offing.

Rangers, who have been linked with a move for the 21-year-old, were looking to bring the forward in to provide support for Alfredo Morelos. But, it now appears as if the Bluenoses stand no chance of securing him on loan in January, according to a Liverpool Football Club source.

THE VERDICT:

Dominic Solanke has plenty of potential still yet to be unlocked but is already showing that he has what it takes to succeed on the international stage.

Rangers desperately need to bring in an attacker to help lighten the load on Alfredo Morelos’ shoulders and to boost their chances of securing silverware, but it appears as if they’ll have to look elsewhere.

This is a huge blow for the Bluenoses as the Englishman could have taken Rangers to the next level, but instead they now have to re-evaluate their options, which takes time.
