Josh Acheampong has quickly become one of the most talked-about young defenders in Chelsea’s system, with a number of top clubs keeping a close eye on his development ahead of the summer window.
According to Caught Offside, Real Madrid are among those monitoring the 19-year-old, alongside Borussia Dortmund, Liverpool and Newcastle United, all impressed by his maturity and adaptability at such a young age.
Acheampong — praised as “fantastic” and recognised for his versatility by former boss Enzo Maresca — has featured sparingly in the Premier League this season, making 12 appearances so far. However, breaking into Chelsea’s crowded squad is no easy task, and his long-term role remains uncertain despite his obvious potential.
