Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have had their transfer dreams shattered after a reported target ruled out a move in January.
The Gunners faithful had been excited to see reports linking them to Real Madrid’s Jese Rodriguez but now TalkSport run with quotes that suggest the young Spaniard has no intention to leave the Spanish capital.
“I’ve always wanted to be at Real Madrid and be a success. I’m very happy. I always try to make the most of the playing time the coach gives me, and I feel good and I have to carry on like this.”
Earlier this month it was suggested Arsenal wanted the 22-year-old to bolster their attacking lines in North London but any chances of that happening appear off the table, with Jese making five appearances in La Liga so far this season.
With Rafael Benitez valuing the youngster, and crucially giving him plenty of game-time, it seems unlikely he’d accept a move to Arsenal- where the chances available wouldn’t be much more than he currently has.
