The Brazilian sensation, who has been on since moving to the Premier League, came off against Bournemouth last night with an injury – leaving many in the Transfer Tavern fearing the worst.
Now, less than a day after the fact, the true extent of the injury appears to have been confirmed – with Spanish journalist Vero Brunati confirming that the forward has ruptured his 5th metatarsal. The injury could see him miss up to 3 months, which is awful news for Pep Guardiola.

Translated, the full tweet reads: “Gabriel Jesus has ruptured the 5th metatarsal. [He] will be between two and three months inactive…”
This has come as a huge blow to the Citizens in the Transfer Tavern, with many fearing that the Brazilian’s absence could be the difference between their side winning the title and Chelsea running away with it.
Since moving to the Premier League, Jesus has been on fire – having scored 3 goals in 4 games in a Man City shirt.
Our landlord isn’t too worried for Guardiola, though, with Sergio Aguero waiting in the wings.
