Report emerges detailing West Brom’s next move in manager search

The Hawthorns

West Bromwich Albion fans in the Transfer Tavern will want to put this season behind them as much as possible and will be expecting changes to be made at the Hawthorns this summer.

The Baggies will be looking for a new manager after sacking Alan Pardew – however, caretaker Darren Moore has seen his side’s performances improve since he took control. The club have been undefeated during his spell, matching the points total of his predecessor in his 18 games, and a number of the locals would not mind seeing him take the reins on a permanent basis.

It is believed though that there are concerns about keeping him in charge as he still remains a novice and many at the club believe a 46-game season could be too much of a tough ask for him, with recent reports detailing the next move in their manager search, with three men set to be approached.

According to Sky Sports, West Brom are interested in speaking with three possible candidates, namely Brentford’s Dean Smith, Bristol City’s Lee Johnson and Leicester City’s assistant manager Michael Appleton, of whom are currently in employment

But with chairman Mark Jenkins reportedly seeking to make an appointment after the end of the campaign, there are likely to be some interesting weeks ahead for our resident Baggies fans regarding the future of their club.

Landlord’s Verdict: The locals in the Tavern will want to see a new manager in charge as soon as possible, with the club expected to go through a number of changes in the summer.

They will be hoping they can get a new man in that can help guide them back to the Premier League, but whether any of the aforementioned trio of Smith, Johnson, and Appleton indeed become the club’s new boss very much remains to be seen.
