Report: West Ham to make official announcement with Pellegrini set for reunion

West Ham United fans in the Transfer Tavern will be looking ahead to the future of the club under the guidance of Manuel Pellegrini.

The Chilean arrived at the end of last month to take over from David Moyes at the London Stadium and has signalled his intention to turn the club around. The 64-year-old wants to bring attractive football to east London and lead the Hammers into Europe once again.

Pellegrini knows that he will need to make a number of additions to ensure his new team stand any chance of mounting a challenge for a Europa League spot, however, there have been reports that he could encounter problems with his own board regarding certain issues.

Those rumours have been cleared up on Twitter by ExWHUemployee, who stated that there is no truth in the backroom disputes and the club are preparing a statement about an incoming Director of Football already, with Mario Husillos expected to reunite with Pellegrini whom he worked alongside whilst the Chilean was in charge at Malaga.

Landlord’s Verdict

The West Ham fans in the local will be glad that there are no disputes between Pellegrini and the board so early into his tenure and will hope the pending arrival of Husillos can help the club to bring in a number of talented individuals this summer.
