Manuel Pellegrini will be looking to bring a number of huge names to West Ham United this summer and the fans in the Transfer Tavern will be hoping he will be successful in his attempt to lure them to the London Stadium.
The Chilean was appointed as the new manager following the departure of David Moyes last month and wants to bring attractive football to the locals in the bar, as well as trying to get the club back into Europe next season.
The Hammers have already been linked with a number of exciting talents, with the likes of Felipe Anderson dominating the headlines, however, a South American striker is reportedly interested in a move to London.
According to a report by TeamTalk, Cristian Pavon (valued at £18 million by Transfermarkt) is keen to follow in the footsteps of other Argentine stars that have played for the Irons, and his representatives are thought to be in regular contact with the club.
The report also claims that Manuel Pellegrini has given the club the green light to pursue a potential deal, and the club are hoping Manuel Lanzini will convince Pavon to join him at the London Stadium next season.
Landlord’s Verdict
With 7 goals and a whopping 17 assists to his name last season, it appears Pavon would be an excellent signing for the Hammers who want to ensure they finish in the top-half of the Premier League, or even secure a Europa League qualification spot next season.
The 22-year-old has been attracting plenty of interest from around Europe having impressed for Boca Juniors, although the Argentine club are not prepared to entertain any bids until after the World Cup reaches its conclusion.
