The Manchester United supporters have been in the Transfer Tavern all afternoon watching their side entertain Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup.

The contingent of supporters are hopeful that United can go deep into the competition, with the club still in contention to win each competition that they have entered this season.

United boss Jose Mourinho has not yet dipped his toe into the transfer market this month, although some players could well leave Old Trafford before the Tuesday deadline.

The United utility man has struggled to force his way into first-team recognition this season and his days at Old Trafford could be numbered.

The youngster would play regularly for a lower ranked Premier League side and the time could be now to move onto pastured new.

Wayne Rooney

The record breaker could be sold by United before the transfer window closes on Tuesday night, with several clubs in China looking to take the Red Devils player.

With Rooney now having broken the goalscoring record at the football club, the club’s hierarchy could look to let him go to avoid him holding back the likes of Marcus Rashford.

One United fan is sat finishing his carvery here in the Tavern and he thinks that Rooney still has a lot to offer, stating that he hopes he stays at least until the end of the season.
