There are some interesting looks around the Football Transfer Tavern as talkSPORT reveal the latest transfer gossip.

They note that Italian giants Juventus are preparing to join Manchester United and Arsenal in their attempts to sign Real Madrid winger Angel Di Maria in the summer.

The Argentine international has been pushed further down the pecking order at the Bernabeu following the world record arrival of Gareth Bale and that has brought about much speculation that he could depart the La Liga outfit for pastures new.

Manchester United and Arsenal have been strongly linked with the 25-year-old, who has been a popular figure at Madrid since his 2010 switch from Benfica.

However with the tricky winger’s long-term future with Carlo Ancelotti’s side is looking decidedly bleak with Madrid looking to bring in a new striker and despite Di Maria informing Los Blancos that he is happy, a summer move could still be on the cards.

Di Maria rejected a possible transfer to Tottenham, as part of the Bale deal, in the summer but as the landlord confirms, that doesn’t rule out a possible switch to a Premier League side as long as they have Champions League football.

Juventus appear to be the latest interested party in the attacker as manager Antonio Conte tries to add some additional pace to his Serie A outfit to complete a formidable midfield. They could now compete with the Premier League duo to land the exciting winger.

Conte wants to create ‘the world’s greatest midfield’ as he looks to pair Di Maria with Paul Pogba, Arturo Vidal and the incomparable Andrea Pirlo. We have to admit it would be one excellent midfield.
