Plenty of Sheffield United supporters reacted to a post from the club’s official Twitter account showing a picture of Bramall Lane completely empty.
The Blades tweeted a clear snapshot of the stadium with the cryptic caption of a house emoji.
United have played all their home games at the iconic ground, ever since the South Yorkshire outfit was first formed all the way back in 1889.

Former player Chris Wilder has guided his local club all the way from the depths of League One to the top of the Premier League. John Fleck and Lys Mousset sit jointly at the top of the goal-scoring chart, with English midfielder John Lundstram just behind with a tally of 4 goals so far (data provided by WhoScored).
Naturally, many SUFC fans are itching to get back in their seats, as Wilder’s side were in shock pursuit of European football prior to the football league’s suspension due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. One member of the United faithful described the view as “stunning,” while another frustrated fan commented seeing the stands barren is “so depressing.”
