Sheffield United duo Enda Stevens and John Lundstram have been named in the Premier League Team of the Week following the 11th round of fixtures (@SheffieldUnited).

The two players were instrumental in helping the Blades secure a 3-0 victory against Burnley at Bramall Lane, and were included in the team selected by Alan Shearer.

Lundstram was the man who grabbed all the headlines in the victory against the Clarets, as he scored two goals from midfield (via Transfermarkt).

Added to his goals, he also played one key pass, made three successful tackles, one clearance and finished with a passing accuracy of 86.5%, which was the highest of any Sheffield United player on the afternoon (via WhoScored).

As for Stevens, he was a member of the defence which kept a fifth clean sheet of the 2019/20 campaign for the South Yorkshire side.

The Republic of Ireland international won two tackles, one aerial duel and made one clearance in the game which contributed to the shut out (via WhoScored).

On top of his defensive display, he was involved in two of their three goals. He played a superb ball down the line for David McGoldrick which ultimately led to the first goal of the afternoon (@SheffieldUnited), before whipping a cross in which was touched on by Lys Mousset for Lundstram to bag his and the Blades’ second (@SheffieldUnited).

All in all, you cannot really argue with either player being named in Shearer’s team of the week.

Both players produced outstanding individual performances for Sheffield United which contributed heavily to the club securing a huge Premier League victory.

They certainly deserve the recognition, and manager Chris Wilder and indeed the Blades supporters will hope that they can continue to impress in the coming weeks.
