The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern loved their side’s performance against Borussia Dortmund last night…
Though they were far from dominant, it was a spirited performance from the London-based team, with Pochettino’s men making the perfect start to what is going to be a very tough group stage.
There were a number of standout performances from the Tottenham players, and whilst Harry Kane will deservedly get a lot of credit for his goals, it is also worth mentioning the fine performances of Tottenham’s new boys.
Both Davinson Sanchez and Serge Aurier played for the Lilywhites and impressed in doing so, much to the joy of the fans in the Transfer Tavern.
Indeed, Serge Aurier – in particular – looked very good, and that has led to a lot of conversation about the future of Kieran Tripper in the pub.
That discussion is decidedly one-sided on social media, though. In response to Aurier’s fine performance, fans are calling for Kieran Trippier to return to the bench – with many touting the Frenchman as far superior to his English rival.
